The complete overhaul service of your wristwatch includes the service of your watch movement and the aesthetic refurbishment of the case and bracelet. The movement should be serviced at regular intervals so that your watch runs reliably and flawlessly in a everyday life. If your watch is inaccurate, stops from time to time or if the movement does not run at all, an overhaul (cleaning, oiling and regulating) is urgently required. Over time, the oiling / lubrication of the movement dries out and the sensitive parts of the movement can wear out or even be damaged. This usually results in your watch no longer working correctly and showing poor time keeping (running too fast or too slow). The movement service eliminates the problems that have occurred, prevents possible wear and tear or even damage, and ensures that your watch functions properly again.

A complete overhaul service for a watch consists of the following components::

Complete dismantling of the watch case and the movement, followed by an inspection of all movement and case components.

Cleaning and replacing or repairing worn or damaged movement parts of the movement (all additional required movement parts are subject to a fee).

Oiling of the entire movement and subsequent regulation. Control of the watch time keeping for a duration of 72 hours, as well as visual inspection.

Aesthetic refurbishment of the watch case and the steel bracelet, best possible restoration to the original condition.

I recommend mechanical watches to be cleaned and re-oiled every 2-5 years, depending on how they are worn. Your high-quality wristwatch will therefore be preserved for generations.
